Greenwood Park Play Area

Greenwood Park is owned by St Stephen Parish Council. The Park comprises 60 acres of open parkland which incorporates St. Julian’s Wood – believed to date back to the Iron Age – which has an abundance of wild life fauna and flora, a children's play area, a commnity centre, sports pavilion, tennis courts, football pitches and a cricket table. The Greenwood Park Community Centre has a sports hall and a number of rooms available for hire. Please see Greenwood Park Leaflet and Greenwood Park Community Centre Hire Charges for details. There is a very popular children’s play area in which there are numerous items of exciting play equipment. The football pitches and the cricket table are available for hire. The Greenwood Park Tennis Club leases part of the pavilion and the tennis courts. There is a court which is available to hire for £5.00 per hour. Bookings can be made at the DAY ONE Convenience Store (known as Ramesh's) on the corner of Tippendell Lane with Watford Road(tennis courts and Ramesh's are marked with the red map pin on the map below). The children's court, Kid's Zone is also available for £2.00 per hour, when not in use by the Tennis Club.
